Forged on Friday - Make a Nutcracker with bowl

Just in time for holiday serving. We will make the bowl using a swedge block and form, you can make it simple or add ornamentation of your choosing. The nutcracker is a study in making spring steel objects similar to old style scissors or spring tongs. For any blacksmithing class please wear cotton or natural fabric clothing, long trousers and solid shoes or boots are required, long sleeve cotton (not flannel) shirt highly recommended. We supply your steel, coal, tools, working materials, gloves, eye and ear protection, plus dust masks when necessary but if you have a leather apron you might want to bring it.
