Medicare Education Seminar

There is a lot of confusion out there when it comes to health insurance. Especially with all of the action or lack of action in Congress that we hear about in the news. Compared to individual and group health plans, Medicare has been relatively consistent over the last 10 years. But still, there are decisions that millions of Americans will have to make regarding their Medicare plan. Whether they are turning 65 and enrolling for the first time, or reevaluating their plan during open enrollment, it is important to have all of the information they need to make the right choice.

September 15th – 21st is National Medicare Education Week. It is one month before Medicare open enrollment begins. You will be able to find educational events that provide a general understanding of the Medicare system. What is Medicare Part A, B, C, and D? What do Medicare supplement plans cover? Does Medicare have a deductible? Are there monthly premiums for Medicare? What is the "donut hole?" If you are on Medicare or will be turning 65 soon, make sure you take advantage of an educational event. Or you may have a friend or family member who is on Medicare. The events are free and open to the public.

I will be hosting a National Medicare Education Week gathering on Wednesday, September 20th for the Crestview community. We will meet at the Crestview Chamber of Commerce from 10:00am to 11:00am.
